Odor de morango que lembra algodão doce. O Etil Maltol é geralmente utilizado em conjunto com notas de baunilha para criar acordes que remetem a “comestíveis/guloseimas” tipo gourmand.

Combinado com notas de tonka e patchouli forma o acorde “Angel” (Thierry Mugler).

Recommended to sniff in a solution at 1% or less, on a smelling strip.
